Jo Ann Huffman, 78, of Salisbury, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. She was born on June 16, 1939 in Gatewood, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Chester and Dorothy Sheaves. Jo Ann worked for the Wicomico County Board of Education as a school bus aide. Her hobbies included bingo, and playing cards and slot machines. She is survived by her husband, Eric Huffman of Salisbury; a son, Eric Huffman, Jr. (Linda) of Eden; a daughter, Suzanne Hudson (Eddie) of Salisbury; grandchildren, Brandon Hudson (Angel) and Eddie Hudson, III; great grandchildren, Justin, Taylor, and Xavier; brother, Larry Sheaves (Sheila) of Stuarts Draft, VA; sister, Debbie Smith of Sandyville, WV; sister-in-law, Cecil Sheaves of Grottoes, VA; brothers and sister-in-law, Benny Huffman (Sandra) of South Charleston, WV, Bill Huffman (Deann) of Peterstown, WV, Larry Huffman (Debbie) of Elizabeth City, NC, Mason Huffman (Nancy) of Delmar, Tommy Huffman (Becky) of Florence SC, and Tena Church (Gwyne) of Hebron; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Sheaves and a brother-in-law, Ronnie Smith. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Short Funeral Home, 13 E. Grove Street in Delmar.
