Obituary

Jeffrey Clayton Saulsbury, 57, of Federalsburg, and formerly of Mardela Springs, passed away Monday, October 10, 2022, at TidalHealth Nanticoke in Seaford. He was born December 10, 1964, in Easton, a son of Sandra Jones Saulsbury and the late Edward Saulsbury. Jeff graduated from Mardela High School with the class of '82. After graduation, he worked many years as an over-the-road truck driver, where he enjoyed seeing different parts of our country. Later in life he earned his certification as a forklift operator. He loved to travel and cruises with his wife Vicki were his favorite. He was an avid Baltimore Ravens and NASCAR fan. Jeff also loved the outdoors and favorite hobbies were hunting and fishing. He will be remembered for his love for family, and his four-legged family, Peaches (Black Lab), Barnie (cat), Spankie and Mickie (goats), and Charlie, his goat that preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Vicki Elnicki Saulsbury; mother, Sandra Saulsbury of Mardela Springs; brother, Joseph "Joby" Saulsbury (Mary) of Mardela Springs; aunts, Kay Gambrill of Hebron, Nancy Dyott (Buddy) of Easton, and Sammy Outten of Easton; uncles, Jerry Saulsbury of Baltimore, Jimmy Saulsbury of Trappe and Vernon "Bo" Gambrill of Mardela Springs; cousins, Vicky Evans (Albert) of Alabama and Stacy Foxwell of Westminster, MD; and sisters-in-law, Valerie Fitzgerald (Bill) of Vermont and Lynn Shugrue (Joe) of Georgia. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by step-father, Donald Donohoe; in-laws, Mr. & Mrs. James Elnicki; aunt and uncle, Mr. & Mrs. Gerald Foxwell; and a cousin, W. Brice Foxwell. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at Mardela Memorial Cemetery. Donna Bennett, Lay Speaker, will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, c/o Jeannette Calloway, 8381 Athol Road, Mardela Springs, MD 21837.
