Jeffrey Roy Hatton, 68, of Hebron, MD, entered into the presence of the Lord on Monday, February 24, 2025. He was born in Virginia on March 2, 1956. While attending Mardela High School, Jeff enjoyed playing sports, especially soccer in which his senior year they won the Bayside Championship. After high school he continued to play softball in several men's leagues. Throughout his career he held positions of maintenance and construction. He owned and operated Trophy Wall Board for 12 years then began supervising the maintenance of Delmarva Evangelistic Church where he retired from. Jeff was an avid tinkerer with many projects for family and friends. Building and restoring items and doing any kind of carpentry around the house. He also loved being outside with his flower gardens, feeding the birds, and enjoying the sunshine. His most cherished pastime was being on the sidelines watching his beloved grandson playing soccer and baseball. Jeff is survived by his daughter, Jessica Brown; son, Jason Hatton (Beth); grandson, Bryce Brown and granddaughters, Rebecca Rossbach and Caitlyn Hawley; and great-granddaughter, Emery. His brothers, John, Alan, and Burt. His sister Pat and his treasured sister Janie who cared for him so lovingly. He also leaves behind his precious cats, Lily and Fuzz. He was predeceased by his parents, Betty and Norman Hatton; loving wife, Christine Hatton; in-laws Bobieanna and Charles Adams; stepson, John Williamson Jr; daughter in law, Tammy Williamson; and son-in-law, Steve Brown. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at 11am at Delmarva Evangelistic Church. Pastor Buzz Gregory will officiate. A reception will follow in the banquet hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Delmarva Evangelistic Church, Gordy Road, Salisbury, MD. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
