POCOMOKE-Jeffery Allen Denney, 50, of Pocomoke, formerly of Ocean View, died Monday, August 1, 2011 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. He was born May 11, 1961 in Salisbury, a son of Rita Carole (Ward) Denney and the late Clifford Allen Denney. Jeff worked many years as a journeyman in construction in the Washington, DC area. He was a true "man's man" who loved anything outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and motorcycles. He considered nature his "outdoor cathedral." He was always a loyal and trustworthy friend who consistently gave the best to those he knew and loved. His outgoing and friendly demeanor will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Faith Dickerson Denney; a daughter, Rachel A. Quillen and her husband, Marcus of Frankford; 2 sons, Jeremy Anthony Denney of Ocean View and Jason Allen Denney of Pittsburgh; 3 grandchildren, Zoe, Byron and Jeremiah; and two brothers, Carl Anthony Denney of Ocean View and Philip Douglas Denney of Bridgeville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many friends. A celebration of Jeff's life will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at his home, 4417 Stockton Road in Pocomoke.
