Jeannie Dietz Wilson, 46, of Delmar, died Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. She was born August 9, 1968 in Richmond, Virginia, a daughter of Ronald Dietz, and his wife Donna of Wilmington and the late Margaret Dietz Layfield. Jeannie graduated from Delmar High with the Class of 86. She then furthered her education by earning her degree in Applied Science from Delaware Technical College and worked the past 8 years for Trinity Sterile in Salisbury. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Delmar. Jeannie loved to read and loved animals. She was especially fond of her cats and they were considered her family. Family and friends were always important to Jeannie and she would do anything for anyone in need. She is survived by her husband of 7 years, Marlin Ray Wilson; an aunt, Stephanie Colletti (Ric) of Ocean City; sisters and brothers, Steven Dietz of Delmar, Jennifer Wheatley (JT) of Delmar, Reagan Morgan of Delmar, James Lee Dietz (Amy) of Quantico, and Sandra Dietz of Philadelphia; step daughters, Shelby Wilson and Taylor Wilson; 2 grandchildren, Miley Jean and Maci; and a special friend, Twyla Marshall of Delmar. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Short Funeral Home in Delmar, where family and friends may call from 2:00 to 3:00.
