Obituary

DELMAR- Janet Doris Wilson, 66, of Delmar, died Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born February 4, 1948 in Seaford, a daughter of the late Preston Wheatley and Doris Evangeline Brown. In her younger days Janet worked as a seamstress for several garment factories in Delmar. After the demise of the many garment factories in the area, she enjoyed working as a short order cook at the Railroad Café in Delmar. She loved to crochet and left her family and friends with many hand-made keepsakes to remember her by. She was an avid reader, used her green thumb to plant and garden and enjoyed crabbing. She is survived by a daughter, with whom she lived, Alice M. Parkin; 2 sons, John M. Taylor and his wife, Rachel, of Delmar and Cory Wilson and his wife, Cindy of San Jose, California; grandchildren, Ryan Parkin, Zachary Jones, Brett Taylor, Alexis Taylor, Jessica Hawkins, Justin Hawkins, Julia Wilson and Jacob Wilson; 2 great grandchildren, Skylar and Mason Parkin; 2 sisters, Karen Greene of Fruitland and Lynne Butler of Seaford; and 2 brothers, Michael Brown of Delmar and Perry Brown of Crisfield.
