SNOW HILL- Janet L. Trader, 67, of Snow Hill, died Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. She was born May 5, 1948 in Baltimore, a daughter of the late John and Ruth (Nodine) Leyh. Janet worked 28 years at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in various departments. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church at Shad Point where she was a member of the UMW fellowship group. She enjoyed the outdoors and was happy camping, fishing, boating and she loved the beach. Over the past several months, Janet has been in the care of Coastal Hospice and the family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation for the care of comfort they have provided. The staff of Coastal Hospice was like a second family to Janet and her family and they were so helpful guiding her through her final days. She is survived by her husband of 15 years, David S. Trader; two children; a sister, Nancy Laurie (Hugh) of Fenwick Island; two brothers, James Leyh of Hooper's Island and John Leyh of Baltimore; and several nieces and nephews. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Short Funeral Home in Delmar. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Whatcoat Cemetery in Snow Hill. Pastor Gary Smith will officiate.
