Janet "Carol" Cummings Dickerson, long-time resident of Snow Hill, MD passed away on February 4, 2021 at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, MD. Carol was born in Annapolis, MD on February 23, 1940 and was the daughter of William F. and Ethel W. Cummings of Mayo, MD. Following graduation from Annapolis High School, Carol married Jesse Lee Dickerson on January 24, 1959. She was a past member of the American Legion Post #67 Ladies Auxiliary in Snow Hill. She enjoyed playing bingo at several area fire halls. In her leisure time she enjoyed reading, collecting antiques, watching cooking shows and 'Blue Bloods' and was a fan of Elvis. She is survived by her husband of 62 years and children Karen Stewart (Rob), Sharon Payne (Garry), Steve Dickerson, and Kathi Figgs. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents, grandson Steven Payne, and her beloved dog, Max. Donations can be sent to the Snow Hill Christian Nursery School; the Snow Hill Volunteer Fire Department; or the VFW Child Welfare Fund.
