James David Trott, Sr., 71, of Delmar, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. He was born on October 19, 1942 in Strawberry Plains, Tennessee, a son of the late Luther and Maryanne Trott. James served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired as a diesel mechanic for Mountaire Farms in Millsboro. He is survived by his wife, Linda R. Trott; three children, Jessica Trott, Jennifer Trott and James "Jay" Trott (Tuesday); two grandchildren, Sandra Daves and Noah Trott; a sister, Fonda Ann Crossley (L.T.); and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Luther V. Trott, III. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at the Short Funeral Home, 13 E. Grove Street in Delmar. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service.
