James P. Hutson, Jr., 26, of Salisbury, MD passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. James was born in Salisbury on July 11, 1995. Fondly known as "Jimmy'" he is survived by his mother, Lisa S. Hutson; sisters, Keri Payne (Scott) of Ocean Pines and Jennifer James (Eric) of Millsboro, DE; nieces, Hayley and Makenzie James and nephews, Ayden and Devin James and Zackery and Cody Payne. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Betty Staton. He is predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Reverend Lawrence Staton and his uncle, Michael Staton. James attended Wicomico County schools, receiving his diploma in June 2013. He worked for Pro Sports Catering at the Delmarva Shorebirds Stadium in Salisbury. James was loving, caring, kind and outgoing. He grew up playing Little League baseball in Fruitland and Pony League All-Stars with the Shockers in Salisbury. He also played travel soccer for Robinson's. James' first job was coaching Lil' Kickers and Lil' Sluggers at Crown Sports Center. James was a sports enthusiast and took much pride in his car. He cherished the time with his family and friends. Uncle Jimmy adored his nieces and nephews. He also had a special place in his heart for his beloved cat, Hunter. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Short Funeral Home in Delmar, where a visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00. The Reverend Dr. Tom Pasmore will officiate. Interment will follow at Parsons Cemetery in Salisbury. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Fruitland Little League, P.O.
