James S. Hearn, "Jim", 74, of Parsonsburg, Maryland, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. He was born December 10, 1938 in Salisbury, a son of the late James and Helen Hearn. Jim proudly served his country in the US Army. He was a member of Line United Methodist Church in Delmar. He worked many years as a boiler mechanic at Tri-State Engineering in Salisbury, and also worked at the Cropper Saw Mill and various other companies. He is survived by his companion of over 40 years, Betty Jo Littleton; two sons, James "Eddie" Hearn of Delmar and David Hearn of Winchester, VA; 2 daughters, Brenda Hearn and Barbara Hearn, both of Hebron; two sisters, Fayetta Roglitz of Salisbury and JoAnn Hampton of Richmond, Virginia; five grandchildren, Steven Todd, Stacey Hearn, Donna Hearn, Payton Hearn and Alexis Cook; and six great grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Short Funeral Home in Delmar, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00.
