James McIntyre Austin, 61, of Delmar, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018 at his home.
He was born on February 16, 1957 in Seaford, Delaware, a son of the late James R. Austin and Cecelia (Mutchler) Stickles. Jimmy was a skilled carpenter and most recently worked for Atlantis Homes in Delmar. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He had a special place in his heart for dogs and especially his beloved sidekick, "Maddie."
He is survived by a daughter, Stacey R. Allen and husband, Stewart of Hurlock; a cousin, Shawn Johnson and wife, Lori of Delmar; nephews, Andy Davenport, and Seth and Tyler Wheatley; and several cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Marion and Lillian Austin; maternal grandmother, Anne Mutchler; and siblings, Andy Austin, Tammy Davenport, Carl Austin and Rodney Austin.
As per his wishes, no formal services will be planned.
Arrangements are being handled by Short Funeral Home of Delmar.
