With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jacqueline "Jackie" K. Ross, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, and friend. Born on April 11, 1955, in Crisfield, MD, Jackie was known for her passion for working with children, especially as a dedicated Special Education Teacher employed by the Wicomico County Board of Education. Jackie cherished her family and is survived by her loving husband of over 35 years, Lonnie Ross, her son Jacob Ross, her parents, Harley and Shannon Bunner, and her brother David Armstrong. She is also survived by step-children, Jeremy, Lindsey and Joshua; She held a special place in her heart for her miniature schnauzer, "Luna," and had a deep love for animals. In addition to her immediate family, Jackie is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, as well as extended family and friends from Tangier Island. Her presence will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Jackie was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Bunner. A graduate of Glen Burnie High School in the class of '73, Jackie was crowned "Miss Glen Burnie" in 1973. She was a proud alumna and cherished memories of her high school days. Jacqueline had a passion for sports, particularly the Washington Redskins, Baltimore Orioles, and the New York Yankees and could often be found cheering them on with enthusiasm. Her culinary skills were renowned among her family and friends, with her famous spaghetti, chili, and chicken salad dishes being cherished by all who were fortunate enough to taste them. Furthermore, Jackie touched the lives of many through her warm demeanor and excellent cooking. To honor Jackie's memory, funeral services and ceremonies will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Riverside Methodist Church, 608 Riverside Dr., Salisbury, MD, 21801, where family and friends may visit from 10:00 to 11:00.
