Hollis G. Luffman, II, 66, of Delmar, died Monday, January 29, 2018 at his home. He was born January 15, 1952 in Salisbury, a son of the late Hollis G. Luffman and Daisy Elizabeth (Godwin) Luffman. Hollis proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. After returning from the war, he had a long, productive career as a supervisor at Bayliner Boats in Salisbury. In his younger years he loved the outdoors and hunting was a favorite hobby of his. Before his health began to fail, he was an active member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Delmar. His true passion was music and designing and building electric guitars. He opened Pop-Pop's guitars in his home in Delmar and when not building and repairing guitars, he taught guitar lessons. He is survived by his soulmate and wife of over 45 years, Mary Delorse (Beauchamp) Luffman; a half brother, Steven of Frederick, Maryland; half-sisters, Violet of Florida and Patricia of Sharptown; and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his pride and joy, his daughter, Holly Jean Luffman,who passed in 1991. A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Riverton United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pastor Mike Phillips will officiate.
