Helen M. Whitehead, 84, beloved mother, wife, and daughter, was called to her eternal resting place on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. She resided in Delmar, Maryland and was formerly of Kinnelon, New Jersey. She was born at home on September 28, 1940 in Kinnelon, NJ, to the late Everett and Lucy VanZile. Helen worked as a bus driver for Jordan Transportation in Butler, NJ, then was an administrative assistant for the Kinnelon Boro Clerk until her retirement in 2005. She is survived by her beloved children, Wanda Speziale and husband Carmine of Salisbury MD, BonnieJean Gallopo and husband Mike of Stillwater PA, John Whitehead Jr. of Kinnelon, NJ and son, James Whitehead and wife Dawn of Easton PA; and her rescued kid, "Lola." She also is survived by her cherished grandchildren, Christopher and Mark Barbaro of PA, Robert, Michael, and Steven Gallopo of PA, Chelsea and Kyle Whitehead of NJ and Kayla and Madison Whitehead of PA; and one great grandson, Colter Barbaro of PA. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, John in 2019 and a sister, Julia Mary Post. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Mount Evergreen Cemetery in Kinnelon NJ.
