Helen Toth Gibson, 85, of Salisbury, and a long time resident of Delmar, MD, died Saturday, August 29, 2009 at Salisbury Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. She was born September 27, 1923 in Baltimore, a daughter of the late Louis and Katherine Tasner Toth. Helen was a longtime member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Parish in Salisbury. She was a proud homemaker and loved raising and spending special times with her family. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Charles Henry Gibson; a daughter, Joyce Gibson O'Neill of Berlin; a son, Charles Henry Gibson, Jr. and his wife Doris of Denton; three grandchildren, Dana Cassidy and her husband Kevin of Madison, Wisconsin, Amanda Gibson of Delmar and Ellen Gibson of Delmar; two great grandchildren, Colin and Meghan Cassidy. She is also survived by a brother, Louis Toth and his wife Carmen of Catonsville, MD, a brother-in-law, Paul Hannon of Towson, MD and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Hannon; and two brothers, Leonard and John Toth. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Short Funeral Home, 13 E.
