DELMAR- Harold L. Webb, Sr., 81, of Delmar, died Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at his companion's home in Delmar, surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 29, 1932 in Delmar, a son of the late Walter and Julia Melson Webb. Harold was the son of a farmer and at a young age developed a strong work ethic, which stayed with him throughout his lifetime. Not only was he a lifetime farmer, but he used his industriousness to work several secondary jobs to help support his family. He attended Community Christian Church in Salisbury. Harold suffered a heart attack over 20 years ago which led him to become very regimented in his exercise. He would walk at least 5 miles a day and was often spotted walking around town wearing his signature smile. He was a true fan of the Baltimore Ravens and Orioles. His biggest and most important hobby was his family, and for that they are truly grateful. He is survived by three daughters, Terry Layton (Ricky) of Laurel, Cathy Mariner (Rob) of Ellicott City, MD, and Karen Raley (Stephen) of Delmar; three sons, Harold L. Webb, Jr. (Melissa) of Milford, Jack Webb (Sharon) of Delmar, and Sam Webb of Delmar; eight grandchildren, Stephen, Brandon, and Justin Mariner, Lance Culver, Michelle Raley, Damian Walters, Jack Webb, Jr. and Sarah Webb; nine great-grandchildren; and a special companion, Jean Banks of Delmar, and her children and grandchildren. He is also survived by his special little buddy, his dog "Chico." In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris V. Hastings Webb. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 15, 2013 at the Short Funeral Home in Delmar. Family and friends may call from 12:00 p.m.to 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Line Cemetery in Delmar. In memory of Mr. Webb, contributions may be sent to Coastal Hospice, P.O.
