SNOW HILL- Harold Milton Hostetler, 90, of Snow Hill, died peacefully at his home on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at his home in Snow Hill, surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 30, 1920 in Westover, a son of the late Chancy and Ruth (Zook) Hostetler. On August 1, 1947 he was united in marriage to his late wife, Sylvia Mae (Miller) Hostetler, who passed in 2010. Harold was a farmer in Westover for many years until retiring and moving to Snow Hill. He was a faithful member of the Snow Hill Mennonite Church where he served faithfully as a deacon for many years. He is survived by 7 children; 4 sons, Paul and his wife, Anna of Dalton, Ohio, J. Maynard and his wife, Mary of Snow Hill, Bennie and his wife, Miriam of Millersburg, Ohio and Nathan of Snow Hill; three daughters, Ida Mae Overholt and her husband, Leon, of Taylorsville, North Carolina, Lois Ropp and her husband, Lamar of Kalona, Iowa and Christina Kurtz and her husband, James of Snow Hill; 33 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Norman Hostetler of Westover; a sister, Anna Malin of Pocomoke City; and many nieces and nephews. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Snow Hill Mennonite Church, and also on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service, which begins at 11:00. Interment will follow in Snow Hill Mennonite Church Cemetery.
