Obituary

Gregory Wayne Bradford, 58, of Eden, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022, at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury, Maryland. Wayne was born January 17, 1964, in Salisbury, a son of Penny (Dennis) Bradford of Salisbury and the late James C. Bradford. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Crystal Garnett; sons, Ross Bradford and wife Lara of Bel Air and Ryan Bradford and wife Stormy of Chesapeake, Virginia; daughter, Brooke Wootten of Eden; grandchildren, Ava, James and Jaxton; sister, Robin Gravenor and husband Albert of Salisbury; nieces, Julie Gravenor, McKenzie Garnett and Gracie Garnett; nephew, Jackson Garnett; uncle, Greg Dennis and wife Bett of Ocean City; in-laws, Jeff and Jackie Garnett of Eden; and brother-in-law, Jeff Garnett and wife Caitlyn. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Roscoe and Kitty Dennis and Ralph and Doris Bradford; uncles, Charles, Milton, and Wilbur Bradford; and aunt, Shirley Yates. He will be missed by the Kitty's Flowers family and many close friends. Wayne graduated from Parkside High School with the class of '82. In his younger years he worked several places before joining the family business, Kitty's Flowers, where he used his talents and creative side to design and make special set pieces. If you have ever seen a firetruck, tractor, race car, police badge or any other special set piece that came from Kitty's he was the man behind it. Wayne loved the outdoors, especially fishing, and for many years he was the owner and captain of the "Muff Diver" charter fishing boat out of Ocean City. Those that knew Wayne will remember his love for sarcasm, storytelling, his quick wit, and hilarious sense of humor. Most importantly, Wayne was a proud and amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, uncle, nephew, and friend to many. He will be missed by all who knew him, especially their Yorkies, Roxie, Benny, Tootsie, and Tinker. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, August 22, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 at Short Funeral Home in Delmar, and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Bethesda United Methodist Church, 406 N Division Street in Salisbury, followed by a funeral service which begins at 11:00 am.
