Gloria Larrett Kelley, 81, of Delmar passed away on Friday, December 29, 2023 at Salisbury Nursing & Rehab Center. She was born on April 20, 1942 in Salisbury, a daughter of the late Ralph Elliott and Sadie Todd Elliott. Gloria loved animal, especially her cat "Ripken." She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. In her early years she worked as a beautician and then went on to work at Blind Industries and Super Fresh, both in Salisbury. She was a wonderful mom and grandmother, and she will be remembered as a firecracker to her family. She is survived by her children, Candy Messick (Eric), Hope Davidson (Brian), and Donald R. Kelley, Jr. (Siobhan); grandchildren, William Hearn, Gregory Hearn, Eric Messick, Jr., Jordan Giordano, Mikayla Williams, Matthew Williams, Caitlin Williams, Gavin Kelley, and Saoirse Kelley; great-grandchildren, Railey, Brianna, Savannah, Emma, Lily, Paisley, William Jr, Sophia, and one more on the way; sisters, Bonnie Fitzgerald and Barbara Medings; a brother, Ralph Elliott; several nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Shirley Pavone. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Kelley, Sr.; a brother, Bobby Elliott; and sisters, Joann Smack and Joan Elliott. Services will be private.
