Gladys S. Cline, 72, of Delmar, died Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at her home. She was born January 2, 1940 in Parrott, Virginia, a daughter of the late Floyd Jackson Sifford and Virginia Medley Sifford. Gladys enjoyed being a homemaker and will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was an avid reader and enjoyed collecting bells. She will be missed greatly by the family dog, "Ozzie". She is survived by a son, Robert P. Cline, Jr. of Delmar; a daughter, Cynthia Lee and her husband, David of Livingston, Tennessee; 4 grandchildren, Vernon Boog and his girlfriend, Chelsea, Andy Lee, Jonathan Lee and Michael Lee; 3 sisters, Maleta Perdue, Ilene Patrick and Linda Webb; and a brother, Clifford Sifford. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Pierce Cline Sr.; a daughter, Debra M. Cline; 2 sisters, Myrtle Short and Violet Ray; and 5 brothers, Floyd Sifford, Robert Sifford, Horace Sifford, Lewis Sifford and Roy Sifford. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Short Funeral Home in Delmar, where family and friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00. The Reverend Howard Travers will officiate. Interment will follow the services at Line Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
