Gladys M. Campbell, 91, of Millsboro, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford. She was born on April 8, 1923 in Snow Hill, Maryland, a daughter of the late William and Bertha Lank. Mrs. Campbell was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She enjoyed working with her daughter, Linda, and her grandchildren at the Railroad Café in Delmar. She became fondly known as the "Railroad Café MomMom" at the restaurant. She is survived by a son, Thomas W. Lewis of Florida; two daughters, Jill Dean (Gerald) of Laurel and Linda Wells of Millsboro; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Bernice Collins of Georgetown; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas W. Lewis; her second husband, Preston J. Campbell; five brothers, Raymond, John, William, Carson, and James Lank; and two sisters, Susan Smith and Anna Mumford. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the Short Funeral Home, 13 East Grove Street in Delmar. Family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service. The Reverend John Betts will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Laurel. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home.
