George Samuel "Sam" Miller, Sr., 72, of Delmar passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at his home. He was born on August 10, 1947 in Queenstown, Maryland, a son of the late George Miller and Lillian Pauline Miller. Sam spent many years working as a drywall installer. He had a love for music and enjoyed singing. In his early years, he was an avid baseball card collector and enjoyed playing softball. Sam also enjoyed fishing with friends. He is survived by his children, Lisa Miller, Cindy Vincent, Renee Phippin (Clark), and George "Sam" Miller, Jr.; grandchildren, Autumn Miller, Sam Miller, III, Justin Worster, Meghan Worster, Alyssa Worster, Ashley Miller, Joshua Peterson, and Taylor Vincent; 6 great grandchildren; siblings, Donald Miller (Natalie), Joan Webb (Virgil), Molly Hayward (Jim), Kathy Timmons (Freddie), and Georgia Hearn (Jim); special friends, Dale Jones, Jim Walker, Paul Conley, and Tammy and Skip Hudson; sister-in-law, Diana Miller; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Franklin Miller; and a brother, Keith Miller. A celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at the Salisbury Moose Lodge, 833 Snow Hill Road in Salisbury. Lee Moore will officiate.
