Obituary

George W. Garron, 94, of Georgetown passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Harrison Senior Living surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 26, 1927, in Boston, Massachusetts, a son of the late George Wilbert Garron, Sr. and Hilda Doris (Langthorne) Garron. George served in WWII as a telegraphist on a destroyer in the U S Navy. He was an avid hunter in the north country and enjoyed playing golf, fishing and nature. He had a great love for his family, his country and the Lord. He is survived by his daughter, Paula Norman and her husband Allan of Georgetown; daughter-in-law, Lucy Garron of Milford, and a stepson, Ronnie DuPont in New Hampshire; grandchildren, Brandi Fajardo and George M. Garron. There are many other nieces, nephews and family grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Garron and her sons, Clifford and William; his beloved son, George W. Garron, III, and siblings, Robert Garron, Amelia Marie Grover, and Helena P. Grenon. A memorial service with military honors will be held at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2022.
