Obituary

- George Edward "Ted" Clark, III, 68, of Laurel, died Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. He was born September 19, 1943 in Chester, PA, a son of Doris Wilson Clark of Wallingford, PA and the late George Edward Clark, Jr. Ted proudly served his country in the US Army from 1961 to 1964, where he was stationed in Germany. He loved to cook and following his return from the service he graduated from the Culinary Institute in New Haven, CT. He taught culinary courses for many years in Pennsylvania at the Delaware County Intermediate Unit and Delaware County Community College. After retirement, Ted moved to Laurel where he became a member of St. Philip's Episcopal Church. He also enjoyed memberships in the Laurel Lions Club, the Nanticoke Sportsmen Club and the NRA. He loved the peacefulness of his Laurel Home in the woods and enjoyed feeding the squirrels, deer and birds. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Leigh; a daughter, Michelle Clark of Media, PA; a sister, Beth Warren of Wallingford, PA; a step-daughter, Michele Drivon of Ashville, NC; and a step-son, Phillipe Drivon of Pocono Pines, PA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Christina Lynn Colameco. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Philip's Episcopal Church in Laurel, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00. The Reverend Dr. Howard G. Backus will officiate. Inurnment in the church columbarium will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to St. Philip's Episcopal Church, 600 S.
