SALISBURY- George William "Billy" Donophan, Sr., 56, of Salisbury died Saturday, December 3, 2016 at his home in Crisfield. He was born October 5, 1960 in Salisbury, a son of the late Walter Donophan and Brenda Joyce (Harris) Kelly. Billy was a talented, self-employed plumber, a job he enjoyed for over 20 years. He was a faithful fan of the Washington Redskins and loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was a wonderful cook and also loved cooking for family and friends. He is survived by his children, Lauren Donophan, Katelyn Donophan, and Kyle Donophan, all of Delmar and George W. Donophan, Jr.; grandchildren, Ariana, Brayden, Karlie, Kaylee and Rashawn; sisters, Karen Davis and her husband, Brian of Salisbury and Brenda Donophan of Florida; brothers, Eric James of Delmar and Walter Donophan of Princess Anne; and his fianceé, Debbie Egbert of Princess Anne, and her children and grandchildren. He is also survived by several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Short Funeral Home in Delmar, where family and friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Pastor Danny Travers will officiate.
