Gary Lee Naggy Sr., a beloved father, Pop Pop and dedicated truck driver, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on September 4, 1954, in Salisbury, Maryland, he was raised in Hebron and Salisbury, where he developed an amazing work ethic that defined his life. He was a son of the late Frank L. Naggy and Iris A. (Phippin) Naggy. Gary took immense pride in providing for his family throughout his diverse career, which included owning Gary's Texaco service station in Mardela Springs during his younger years, working in security, and ultimately discovering his true passion as a truck driver-a profession he devoted over 30 years to, driving for respected companies such as Country Lines, Eagle, Ocean Petroleum, and Josh Thompson Trucking. Gary cherished the outdoors, particularly enjoying hunting and playing golf. Known as a jack of all trades, he had a remarkable ability to build and fix anything. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends who admired his strength, ingenuity, and unwavering dedication. Gary is survived by his daughter, Melissa Naggy and fiancé, Dennis Johnson; his son, Gary Naggy Jr.; grandchildren, Jaime Davis (fiancé, Andrew), Logen Davis (Maddy) and Ethen Davis; great granddaughter, Shelby Lea; and sisters, Deborah Suskin (Steve) and Brenda Carey (David). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank Danielle and Racheal from Vitas Hospice for the exceptional care they gave Gary during his final days. A celebration of Gary's life will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 11:00 am at Short Funeral Home in Delmar, where a visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00.
