Garfield Roosevelt Watson, 75, of Hebron, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at PRMC in Salisbury. He was born on December 17, 1941 in Charleston, West Virginia, a son of the late George and Connie Williams. Garfield was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He enjoyed fishing trips to Tangier Island with his son and grandson. He worked as a carpenter for many years, and was a radio announcer for WICO and WOLC. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Kory and Valerie Watson of Hebron; daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly and Kimber Ward of Salisbury, and Karen and Jeff Layfield of Delmar; ten grandchildren; and a brother, Roger Williams of Hebron. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Janice Watson; a grandson, Kory Watson, Jr.; a brother, Jeff Williams; and a sister, Carol. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Cross Pointe Church of the Nazarene, 27765 Nanticoke Road in Salisbury in the church center/fellowship hall.
