Francis E. "Bud" White, 65, of Laurel, passed away Friday, March 15, 2013 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, Delaware. He was born on April 22, 1947 in Salisbury, the son of the late Francis and Hannah White. Bud proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era. He went on to work for Conrail until his retirement, and then worked in the aviation industry as a sheet metal mechanic. His hobbies included fishing and hunting. He also had an artistic side, and enjoyed painting landscapes and carving decoys. He is survived by a son and his fiancé; Eric F. White and Amanda Jones of Millsboro; a daughter, Trisha White Adkins of Laurel; and a granddaughter, Courtney Adkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie White; and a sister, Janet Carol Hastings. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Short Funeral Home, 13 E. Grove Street in Delmar.
