Obituary

Frances Rebecca Brittingham of Seaford, formerly of Salisbury, passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford. Frances was born in Parsons, West Virginia on March 23, 1938 to William E. and Lillian P. (Knotts) Goff. She moved to Salisbury with her family as a young girl. She graduated from Wicomico High School and went on to nursing school in Cambridge to become a Practical Licensed Nurse (LPN). She worked until her retirement at Peninsula General Hospital in Pediatrics and Maternity. She is survived by her son, William Allan Bailey of Seaford; a sister, Willa Faye Merrill of Delmar; and a brother, Bud Goff of Deland, Florida. She leaves four grandchildren, Thomas Allan, Heather, Dustin and Shannon Bailey and five great grandchildren. She also leaves behind several nieces and one nephew. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Billy. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Line Cemetery in Whitesville.
