Flora Lee Tamosaitis, 86, of Laurel passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at her home. She was born on April 26, 1933 in Delmar, Maryland, a daughter of the late Charles and Minnie Smith. Flora was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Over the years, she worked as a school nurse for Delmar Elementary School and Delmar High School. She also spent time working as a nurse in the emergency department at PRMC, and at a few local doctors' offices. She loved flowers, looking at old photos, and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of St. John's U.M. Church in Seaford and the Delmar V.F.W. Post 8276 Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her sons, Clinton Michael Brumbley, Mark Charles Brumbley and Timothy Roland Brumbley; step-children, Rodney Patrick Tamosaitis and Velvet Elizabeth Rizer; grandchildren, Clinton Robert Breasure, Benjamin Oliver Brumbley, Mitchell R. Byrd, Timothy Michael Brumbley, Amanda Brumbley, Eugene Brumbley, Paige Kubs, William Oscar Rizer, III, Whitney Olivia Rizer, Amber Nicole Tamosaitis, and Brandon Outten; and great grandchildren, Aden Joseph Ashby, Sophie Byrd, and Luna M. Brumbley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John David Tamosaitis; step-son, Paul Tamosaitis; and a granddaughter, Cara Alise Tamosaitis. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at St. John's United Methodist Church, 300 N. Pine Street in Seaford. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. Pastor Barbara Wilson will officiate. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to St. John's United Methodist Church, 300 N. Pine Street, Seaford, DE 19973. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
