DELMAR- Faye A. West, 73, of Delmar, died Monday, November 16, 2015 at the Delmar Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born April 4, 1942 in Livermore Falls, Maine, a daughter of the late Thomas and Marion Perkins Joudrey. Faye worked as a waitress at English's, a job she loved for over 40 years. In years past, she attended Cross Pointe Church of the Nazarene. She is remembered as a very dedicated, honest and hardworking employee. She was a very independent woman who never asked anything of others but was always there for family and friends in need. Faye enjoyed spending time with family, playing cards, bingo and taking trips to the slots. She was an animal lover and will certainly be missed by her Chihuahuas, "Baby" and "Lucy". She is survived by a daughter, Pamela F. Gray and husband, Mark of Dagsboro; two sons, David M. Arvey of Georgetown and Bruce A. Arvey and his close friend, Ethel Breasure of Dagsboro; eight grandchildren, David M. Arvey, Jr., Krissy L. Arvey, Amber F. Sockriter, Paige A. McClary, Joseph M. Arvey, Jason S. Smith, Jennifer R. Smith and Jordan K. Smith; nine great grandchildren; two brothers, Al Joudrey and Orrin Joudrey; and a sister, Wanda Spence. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and in-laws. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Michele Nicole Arvey; brothers, George, Tom, Jr., Roger, Harvey, Stuart, Billy, Darryl and Carroll; and sisters, Helen, June and Lavene. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 23, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Short Funeral Home in Delmar, where a visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00. The Reverend Joel Beiler will officiate. Interment will follow at Jerusalem Church Cemetery in Parsonsburg.
