Erma Lee Hastings, 87, loving and devoted wife of Howard S. Hastings, who preceded her on Sept 11, 2011. Loving and caring mother of C. Wesley Hastings, Shari Hastings Davis, Ken T. Hastings and Tamara Hastings Whaley (Husband, James Whaley, Jr.) She is survived by 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was born on March 24, 1936 to the late Carlton Shockley, Sr. and Flossie M. (Dickerson) Shockley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 4 sisters and 2 brothers. She peacefully passed away at home on Saturday, March 2, 2024. As per her request there will be no services. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
