DELMAR-Emily Day Peters, 39, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at her home in Delmar. She was born July 19, 1977 in Columbia, Maryland a daughter of Bonnie Bennett of Delmar and Dennis Jenkins of Culpepper, Virginia. Emily was a talented hairstylist who got her start at Patrick's Hair Design in Columbia before she moved to the Eastern Shore. She will be remembered as a loving daughter, wife and mother. Her daughters, Madison and Delaney, were her world and she was always there for them when they needed anything at all. She enjoyed crafting and was a skilled artist. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Michael Wayne Peters, to whom she married September 17, 2004; daughters, Madison Gregory and Delaney Peters; a brother, Matthew Jenkins and a sister, Brittany Jenkins. She is also survived by Gene Gregory, Madison's father; an aunt, Wendi Jenkins; cousins, Aimee Jenkins and Debbi Dorough; mother-in-law, Nancy Jones; father-in-law, Jack Peters; sister-in-law, Linda McNeeley; and a niece, Kelly Peters. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
