Emil Freddie "Fred" Zlock, Jr., 68, of Salisbury, died Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Maryland. He was born April 21, 1943 in Denton, Maryland, a son of the late Emil Freddie Zlock, Sr. and Pearl Melvin Elliott. He retired from Thomas Roofing in Salisbury, Maryland. His loved hunting, fishing, trips to the casino and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by a son, Michael Zlock of Tennessee; three grandchildren, Jacque Lynn Winkle, Leroy James Brooks, and Michell Brooke Zlock; his companion Gerlinde "Linda" Smith of Salisbury; and her daughter, Caroline Reid of Salisbury; two brothers, Frank Zlock of Salisbury and Edward Zlock and his wife Betty of Dover; a special niece and her husband, Tracey and Pete West; two nieces and their husbands, Deborah and Gary Johnson, and Dana and Dean Levy; and a nephew Steve Zlock. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Hoppes Zlock who passed in 1996 and a son, Jeffrey Zlock who passed in 1981.
