DELMAR– Elizabeth "Libby" Parsons Collins, 88, of Delmar, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at Atria Salisbury. She was born in Salisbury on November 19, 1920, a daughter of the late Harold M. Parsons, Sr. and Leona Davis Parsons. Libby proudly worked many years as an administrative assistant at Salisbury University. She was an active member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Laurel. She enjoyed baking and quilting. She is survived by a brother, Harold Parsons, Jr. of Villanova, PA; a sister, Phyllis Parsons of Salisbury; special friends, Richard Mendoza and Mark Moyer both of Delmar and Sandy Ramses of Salisbury; and a special niece, Anita "Pug" Cole of Salisbury. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 children, who passed as infants, David Edward Collins and Judith Ann Collins; her beloved husband, Edward Collins; and three brothers, Donald Parsons, Charles Parsons, and Louis Parsons. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Short Funeral Home, 13 E. Grove Street, Delmar, Delaware, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00. The Reverend Donald Murray will officiate. Interment will follow the services at Hebron Cemetery.
