Elizabeth (Betty) Lee Savage, Koesteldorfer, Bonniwell, Mears, loving wife of Colin Kelly Mears, of Lewes, Delaware, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 20, 2008. She was pre-deceased by her mother, Etta Lee Killmon Savage of Hog Island (Broadwater), Virginia; her father, Thomas O. Savage, Sr. of Norfolk, Virginia; her brother, Thomas O. Savage, Jr. of Lincoln, Delaware; her two previous husbands, Hermann Franz Koesteldorfer, of Salzburg, Austria and Reginald (Teagle) Thomas Bonniwell of Hacksneck, Virginia. Prior to moving to Lewes, Betty was born and raised in Folcroft, Pennsylvania. There she graduated from Clifton Heights High School and Pierce Junior College. She was the head cashier at Metropolitan Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and manager of the outpatient medicare at Delaware County Memorial Hospital. After moving to Painter, Virginia, she was the manager of Shore Stop for 10 years and the town clerk and zoning administrator for the town of Painter for 14 years. Other survivors are her daughter, Etta Lee Koesteldorfer of Parksley and her fiancé Danny Tweedy; her son, OS-2 Sean Paul Summers, a grandson, Shane Patrick, and a granddaughter, Sydney of Virginia Beach, Virginia; her daughter Debra Anne Showard and her husband Grover Sr., her granddaughter, Tracy Lynn; and her great-granddaughter, Trinity, and her grandson, Grover Jr., of Cape Charles, Virginia. Her two grandsons, James T. Marshall and Joseph Marshall of Exmore, Virginia. Also her granddaughter, Etta Marie Brady and her husband Justin Brady of Machipongo, Virginia. Other survivors include Sandra Lee Savage Lock, and her husband Keith Lock of Pennsville, New Jersey; and several nieces and nephews in Springfield and Clifton Heights, Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
