MARDELA SPRINGS- Elizabeth "Liz" Anne Joseph of Mardela Springs, died Thursday, May 19, 2016 at the age of 34. She was born March 20, 1982 to Christine Elliott of Mardela Springs and Brent A. Joseph of Eden. Liz graduated from Wicomico High School with the class of 2000 and after graduation took some classes at Wor-Wic Community College in Salisbury. She worked for a number of years in customer service for several businesses in the area. She loved spending time at the beach and being outdoors. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother of her three children and would do anything to make sure they were taken care of. She was creative and artistic in many ways, and took pride in the homemade Christmas gifts she would give to family and friends. She was also a wonderful cook. In addition to her parents, she is survived by three beautiful children, Sarah R. Little (12), Robert J. Little (7) and Emma J. Little (16 mos.); grandmother, Imogene Joseph of Salisbury; Robert Compton of Mardela Springs, her mom's companion; step-mother, Vivian Joseph of Eden; aunts, Flo Horner (Rick) of Salisbury, Carol Shabec (Rudy) of California, Debra Moore of South Carolina and Brenda Joseph of Salisbury; uncles, David Elliott of Mardela Springs, John Elliott of Salisbury and Philip Joseph (Peg) of Salisbury; close family friends, Joe, Phyllis and Katie Majors of Allen and Becky and Gary Mozingo of Salisbury; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jason A. Joseph; her grandfather, Raymond Joseph; and grandparents, Mildred Elliott and Sam Elliott. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Short funeral Home in Delmar, where a visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow the services at Epworth Cemetery in Laurel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Mardela Springs Fire Department, P.O. Box 299, Mardela Springs, Maryland 21837.
