DELMAR — Elfriede M. “Vita” Bowden, 97, of Delmar died Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at her home in Delmar, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born March 26, 1928, in Dambrau, Germany, daughter of the late Karl and Marie Uka.
During World War II, she met the love of her life, John Bowden, beginning a lifelong partnership rooted in devotion and strength. They were married on November 27, 1948, and together built a life centered around family, hard work, and unwavering love.
