SALISBURY- Eleanor Elizabeth Ryman, 87, of Salisbury, died peacefully at her home on Saturday, February 25, 2017. She was born February 21, 1930 in Mt. Jackson, Virginia in the Shenandoah Valley. She earned her Bachelor's degree in education from James Madison University and received her graduate degree at Salisbury Teacher's College. She went on to fulfill her dreams of being a school teacher, a career that spanned 36 years. For over 30 of those years she taught english and psychology at Mardela High School, a career she truly loved. She was past president of the MSTA, past president of GFWC Federation of Women's Clubs and a member of the Maryland Retired Teachers Association. Eleanor was a long time, very active member of Christ United Methodist Church, where she served wherever needed. She loved the outdoors, gardening and bird watching and was an avid reader. She is survived by sons, Douglas D. Yokois and Gary W. Yokois and wife, Michele "Mickey"; and grandchildren, Elizabeth L. Yokois, Vincent A. Yokois and Emma A. Yokois. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband and father to her boys, Vincent Charles Yokois. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church in Salisbury. The Reverend Bill Green will officiate.
