Edwin L. Twilley, 39, of Laurel, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at his home in Laurel, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 25, 1980 in Seaford, Delaware, a son of Bonnie S. Twilley of Laurel and the late Monty Twilley. Edwin attended Laurel High school. He held various jobs in his younger years, including working as a manager for the Wendy's in Seaford. He left Wendy's to pursue a career in construction and was known for being able to do anything from roofing to drywall and flooring. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and NASCAR fan and rooted for Dale, Jr. every weekend. His sense of humor and loving, outgoing personality will be remembered and missed by those who knew him. He was happiest when with his children and family and he was always there for them whenever there was a need. He is survived by his wife, Dana Marie Twilley of Laurel; his mother, Bonnie Twilley of Laurel; children, Michael Twilley, Katie Twilley, Ryan Twilley, John Powell, Emily Powell and Katie Powell, all of Laurel; grandchildren, Bailee and Rilee Dill; brothers, Jeffrey Twilley of Laurel and Monty Twilley, II of Willards; a sister, Dawn Hadder of Delmar; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at St. John's United Methodist Church, 300 N. Pine Street, Seaford, DE 19973. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service. The Reverends Richard Evans and Leslie Benson will officiate. A time of fellowship for family and friends will immediately follow the memorial service.
