Larmore, Sr.

Visitation
Funeral Service
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Edwin F. Larmore Sr., age 81, who departed this life on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. Born on July 14, 1944, in Cambridge, MD, he was a son of the late Edwin Graham Larmore and Louise Cuebler Larmore. Affectionately known to friends and family as Butch, lived a life rich with love and adventure.
Butch was a proud graduate of Mardela High School, class of 1963. He served honorably in the United States Coast Guard from January 11, 1965, until his discharge on January 10, 1969, achieving the rank of BM2. His time in the service shaped his character and instilled a sense of duty that followed him throughout his life.
In his younger days Butch worked several years as a boat builder for Chris Craft when it was operating in Salisbury. He dedicated over 25 years to Delmarva Power at the Vienna Power Plant, where he worked as an equipment operator in the utilities industry. He cherished the camaraderie with his colleagues and took pride in providing for his family.
Some of Butch's most memorable moments were spent on the water. He loved fishing, duck and goose hunting, and cruising in his 22' Sea Hawk, creating lasting memories with family and friends. He kept a journal of his fishing and hunting expeditions through the years, a gift that his family will treasure forever. His passion for the outdoors was evident in all aspects of his life.
Butch was a past member of Mardela Wesleyan Church and active in his community as a member of the Vienna Ruritan and the Sharptown American Legion. He contributed generously to local events and supported his community throughout his life.
He was a loving husband to Doris Fay Larmore and a devoted father to his son, Edwin "Ricky" Larmore, Jr.; and his step-son, who he treated like his own, Ron Seabrease and his wife, Sherry. Butch's genuine spirit and warmth will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at Short Funeral Home in Delmar, where friends and family are invited to a visitation from 10:00 am to 11:00. Pastor Larry Davis, nephew, will officiate. Interment with military honors will follow at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock, Maryland.
