DELMAR- Edward A. Girod, 77, of Delmar, died Friday, December 17, 2015 at Seaford Center of Genesis Eldercare. He was born February 27, 1938 in Morgantown, West Virginia, s son of the late Edward E. Girod and Mary Payton Girod. Ed proudly served his country in the US Air Force from 1955 to 1960. He is survived by a daughter, Joy Korea and her husband, David of Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania; three grandsons; a sister, Marie Porterfield of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred "Shirley" Girod, who passed in 2004. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Francis de Sales Church. Interment will follow at Parsons Cemetery in Salisbury.
