SEAFORD- Edith Frances Brett, 96, of Seaford, died Friday, May 1, 2015 at LifeCare at Lofland in Seaford, where she had resided for the past year. She was born March 8, 1919 in Philadelphia, a daughter of the late Isaac and Marcella (Runge) Good. Edith was a wife, a mother, a teacher, and a lover of cats. There wasn't a time when she did not own several cats. She spent her lifetime teaching and touched the many hearts and minds of her students in school, her Sunday School and as a Girl Scout leader. She is survived by five children, Marcella Ference of Annandale, VA, William Brett of Caldersport, PA, Donna Cera of Virginia Beach, VA, James Brett of Fairless Hills, PA and Lisa Haley of Frankford, DE; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and two sisters, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Brett. Services will be held at a later date.
