Fruitland- Edgar Munoz Garcia, 31, of Fruitland, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. He was born in East Los Angeles, California, a son of Jose Garcia and Martha Munoz. Edgar loved people, never met a stranger and naturally made friends wherever he went. In his younger years his strong work ethic helped him at jobs with Cadista Pharmaceuticals in Salisbury and Plaza Tapatia, where he went above and beyond his duties to always make sure things were done right. Most recently he worked in construction and no task was too big for Edgar. His true love was his children and nieces, as his smile was biggest when playing with them and loving on them. He will be remembered for that ever-present, signature smile and he was always the life of the party. He was also an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, a gamer and a true dog lover. In addition to his parents, he is survived by beloved children, Leanati, Andrea, Natalie and Michael; his sister, Lisa Garcia and her husband, Diego Batista of Salisbury; nieces, Leah and Lilly; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Short Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 5:00 p.m., followed by a reception for family and friends in the church hall.
