Obituary

SALISBURY- Douglas "Doug" David Good, 77, of Salisbury, died Sunday, December 23, 2012 at his daughter's home in Salisbury, where he recently resided. He was born November 6, 1935 in Cambridge, a son of the late James Preston Good and Ott Lee Good. Doug drove a truck for most of his career, first for himself before driving many years for Glasgow Davis. In his later years he worked as a security officer for Wilkins Security. He was an avid Baltimore Ravens fan and loved NASCAR racing. His favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt, Sr. and he was proud of his huge collection of Earnhardt memorabilia. His true meaning of life was spending time with his family and his presence will be missed, especially during this Christmas season. He is survived by 3 daughters, Patricia Wilson of Salisbury, Janet McMichael (Tim) of Federalsburg and Lisa Hill (Wyatt) of Salisbury; 8 grandchildren, Christina Timmons (Tim) of Ft. Huachuca, AZ, Amy McMichael of Preston, Tim McMichael, Jr. (Jan) of Easton, Kim Conley (Chris) of Salisbury, Eric McMichael (Crystal) of Denton, Robby Hill (Jessica) of Hebron, Stacey White (Matt) of Salisbury and Joey Hill of Salisbury; 16 great grandchildren, Madison Timmons, Cheyanne McMichael Robinson, Zachary Robinson, Trevor McMichael, Carson Timmons, Kayla McMichael, Andrew McMichael, Dylan Aydelotte, Gavin McMichael, Kaleb Conley, Jackson McMichael, Kaylyn White, Karter Conley, Robbie Hill, Jr., Ruby Hill and Chloe Hill; a sister, Anne Marie Murphy of Salisbury; and 2 brothers, Bill Good and James Preston Good, Jr., both of Salisbury. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Sylvia Jean Good, who passed in 2009; an infant son, Norris Edward Good, who passed in 1957; and a son-in-law, A.C. Wilson. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Mardela Memorial Cemetery. Pastor Howard Travers will officiate.
