Dorothy Ann Perdue, 69, of Salisbury, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Maryland. It was on this day that God gained an angel. She was born on August 3, 1945 in Henderson, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Raymond and Lillie Thomas. Over the years, she worked for Pantry Pride, K Mart, Wal-Mart, and Delmarva Pharmacy. Dorothy was fondly known by her co-workers as "Miss Dottie." She enjoyed meeting new people and left such a great impression on everyone she met. She will be remembered as a wonderful friend, always willing to take care of others. Dorothy is survived by her life companion, Thomas L. Hearn of Salisbury; special nieces, Pansy Powell of Delmar and Tammy Hearn of Laurel; a special nephew, Gary Wilson Hearn, Jr. of Laurel; special great nephews, Trevor Post and Tyler Powell both of Salisbury; a sister-in-law, Priscilla Thomas of Murfreesboro, NC; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five siblings, Grace Watson, Irene Watkins, Annie J. Robbins, Mary Thomas, and Raymond E. Thomas. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Pittsville Full Gospel in Pittsville, Maryland. Pastor Linda Lane will officiate.
