Dorothy Louise Alexander Parker, 78, of Felton passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022, at Select Specialty Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware. She was born on November 5, 1943, in Salisbury, Maryland, a daughter of the late Henry Albert Alexander and Margaret Edna (Mitchell) Alexander. Dotty was a mom, a mommom, and Aunt Dot to all the kids in the family. She ran her own day care and worked at Wesley Preschool in Dover for many years. It's hard to say how many kids have crawled up in her lap for a hug and a kiss, and she loved every single one of them. She is survived by her loving husband of sixty years, Stanley R. Parker; a daughter, Devina L. Parker; grandchildren, Jordan McClements, Parker McCrea, and Kennedy McCrea; sisters, Joanne Alexander Coffin and Peggy Alexander Adams; and several beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Albert T. Parker, and a brother, Robert Lee Alexander. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Short Funeral Home in Delmar. A visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. Pastor Dennis Dailey will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron, Maryland.
