Dorothy T. "Dot" Matsatsos, age 67, of Parsonsburg, died Monday, March 17, 2008 at her sister's home in Felton. She was born in Farmville, VA, a daughter of the late Walter Alvin Turner, Sr and Edith Branch Turner. Dot worked as a seamstress at the S & S Shirt Factory in Salisbury for over 20 years, before owning her own cleaning business. She was a former member of the Salisbury Moose Lodge where she served as Chaplain for many years. She was totally devoted to her family and extended family, a caregiver to many and always helped those in need. She loved taking trips to the Midway Slots in Harrington and loved visiting her family in Virginia to fish with her brother. She is survived by 4 sons, Michael T. Matsatsos of Parsonsburg, Thomas A. Matsatsos and his fiancé', Theresa of Delmar, Anthony R. Matsatsos and his wife, Mary of Pittsville, and Tracy L. Matsatsos and his wife, Pam of Salisbury; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Bobby Turner of NC, Walt Turner, Jr. and his wife, Maretta of VA and Mike Turner and his wife, Liz of VA; and three sisters, Vonda Reed of North Carolina, Mary Elizabeth Hasty and her husband, Donnie of VA and Linda Bornman and her husband, Jeff of Felton. Also surviving her are many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mack Peter Matsatsos, who passed October 8, 2007; two sons, Terry Lynn Matsatsos and Todd A. Matsatsos; a brother, Thomas Barry Turner; and a sister, Donna Scott-Ippolitti. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Short Funeral Home, 13 E. Grove Street, Delmar, where family and friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00. Interment will be private.
