Obituary

Doris L. Williams, 85, of Delmar, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. She was born on May 6, 1930 in Marion Station, Maryland, a daughter of the late William and Violet Mae Windsor. Mrs. Williams began her career working as a seamstress for the Manhattan Shirt Factory in Salisbury. She went on to own and operate Williams Coin Op Laundry in Delmar, alongside her husband. She was a member of the Delmarva Evangelistic Church in Salisbury. She is survived by a son, Raymond A. Massey, Jr. and his wife Vicki of Laurel; five grandchildren, Stephanie Adkins, Kellie Frey, Raven Medford, Courtney Cahall, and Darrin Williams; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Emily White of Liberty, SC and Jean Dukes of Seaford; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence L. Williams; a daughter, Brenda Bianca; a brother, William Windsor; and sisters, Ruth Whaley, Frances Sheridan, and Alice Parks. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Short Funeral Home, 13 E. Grove Street in Delmar. A visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Interment will follow the service at St. Stephens Cemetery Park in Delmar.
